Ted Hannig is the founding partner of Hannig Law LLP, continuing a family legal tradition on the Peninsula that spans more than 70 years. He is one of the few attorneys to earn the highest ratings as both a trial attorney and a transactional attorney, with a practice concentrated in real estate, business, and high-technology law.
Before founding Hannig Law LLP, Ted was among the youngest senior partners at Ropers Majeski, and opened the Silicon Valley office of real estate firm Miller, Starr & Regalia as a shareholder. He currently serves as Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President of Black Mountain Holdings, LLC. At Santa Clara University he was Research Editor of the Law Review and founded the Computer and High Technology Law Conference, and he studied international business law at the University of Tokyo while working for a Japanese law firm.
Ted is Chair and President of the Danford Fisher Hannig Foundation, which has distributed over $10 million to charity, and founder of the Hannig Cup charity regatta. He has received community recognition from the U.S. Congress, the California State Legislature, the County of San Mateo, and the City of Redwood City, has served as an arbitrator for the local courts, and is a Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow.
